The Vice-Rectorate for Students, develops during the first days of the course a Reception Day aimed at new students of the first year, which consists mainly of

Presentation of the Center and the facilities by the Decanal/Manager team:

• School and exam calendar
• Curriculum
• Exchange Programs (Exchange Coordinator)
• General Guidelines of the Degree
• Tutorial Action Plan
• Presentation of the table of teachers of the first year of the Degree.

In addition, in the places of celebration of the Conference, printed material is made available to students with all the information related to the Center and the Services of the University.

Tutorial Action Plan

Since 2002 the University of León has been developing the Tutorial Action Plan (PAT), whose GENERAL OBJECTIVE: to be a permanent system of academic guidance in which each student will be assigned a tutor during the first years of their studies.

Quality assurance system

The University of León, following the guidelines of the ENQUA (European Association for Quality Assurance) which establishes the European Criteria and Guidelines for internal quality assurance in Higher Education institutions, has developed, for years, the internal policy and procedures for the quality assurance of the institution, with a commitment to the culture of quality through its own strategies of continuous improvement and the development of procedures at the service of the institution which make it possible to involve all the institution's staff.

En este sentido, desde la Oficina de Evaluación y Calidad (OEC) de la Universidad de León ha desarrollado una Herramienta de Apoyo al de Seguimiento de Títulos con el objetivo principal de proveer a las Comisiones de Calidad de los Centros/Departamentos/Institutos de la ULE de una Herramienta de gestión interna de información que facilite la coordinación y el desarrollo adecuado del SEGUIMIENTO de los Títulos Oficiales de la Universidad de León.

En la herramienta se encuentra disponible la información necesaria para realizar:

• Proceso de Seguimiento de los Títulos Oficiales tanto de forma interna por parte la ULE, como de forma externa atendiendo a los criterios establecidos por la Agencia para la Calidad del Sistema Universitario de Castilla y León (ACSUCYL)
• Decision-making of the institution.

Se han determinado diferentes tipos de usuarios para el acceso a la Aplicación, en base a la función que desempeñen en el proceso de seguimiento. Del mismo modo es posible establecer diferentes niveles de difusión de la información de los Títulos Oficiales de la ULE.

Procedimiento de adaptación de los estudiantes procedentes de enseñanzas anteriores.

El título Ingeniero Técnico en Topografía se extingue con la implantación del Grado en Ingeniería en Geomática y Topografía.

La implantación del Grado en Ingeniería en Geomática y Topografía se realizará por cursos, comenzando en el curso 2010/20011, en el que se implantó para los estudiantes que accedieron por primera vez a la Universidad. Los restantes cursos se irán implantando progresivamente en años sucesivos. Así, el curso siguiente, 2011-2012, la nueva titulación afectará a los alumnos de segundo curso y a los de nuevo ingreso que inician el primer curso. En el curso 2012-2013 se impartirán los tres primeros cursos del grado; y al año siguiente, 2013-2014, ya se impartirán los cuatro cursos de la titulación. A medida que se vaya implantando el Grado, se irá extinguiendo la titulación de Ingeniero Técnico en Topografía.
